My husband and I have cell-group meeting for our church which we attend on Wednesdays. This week, two of my girls from the young people's church were there. Danielle and Kendra will frequently burst into laughter for no apparent reason. Anything will make these girls laugh. I am not talking about just giggling. These girls are experts on hearty, infectious laughter.
Recently, my husband asked both girls why they laugh so much. Danielle responded "Because laughing is fun." I thought about that. Laughing is fun. How much of it do we adults do ? I realized that I get so caught up in my self and in the activities of life so much that, most of the time I have a serious look on my face. But is life really that serious especially when you look at things in the light of eternity ?
A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. - PROVERBS 17:22
Laughter brings healing. Do I have challenges in my life ? A long list of them ! Am I going to miss an opportunity to have a good laugh ? I am making the conscious decision not to.
