Well of course He is !
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...
John 1:1 & (first part of) 14
God the Son became a man and dwelt with us here on the Earth. The Bible is clear on that. So I am always intrigued when I see verses like one I read in the First Chapter of Mark this morning :
And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, - Mark 1:11-12
I was especially intrigued by verse 12 (I included verse 11 for context). The Spirit sent Jesus ? The King James Version actually says the Spirit "driveth him into the wilderness".
Jesus was following the leading of the Holy Spirit. I think that is awesome. Yes, Jesus is God all by Himself and yet He would not do anything out of the Father's will (John 5:30) and neither would He go without the Holy Spirit's leading (like we see in the verse above).
Jesus followed the Holy Spirit's lead and would not do anything if it was not the Father's will.
So why should we act any different ?
P.S : Jesus is TOO awesome ! I just think He is. Haha.
