Rough Days

Today was a rough day. I secretly dislike rough days and sometimes wish they could just be erased from my life. But like a pastor of mine said once :
"How boring would life be without the valleys? What stories would you have to tell your kids and grandkids about overcoming ?"
So, although I wanted to curl up into a ball and cry my eyes out and feel sorry for myself, I decided against it because I realize that as a Christian I am in a real spiritual battle. The reality of this spiritual battle requires me to take up my armor and FIGHT.

Oh, I did end up crying but it was not out of sorrow. I cried because I remembered God's amazing love and His tender mercies which have never failed me. I remembered John 16:33 which says :

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace andconfidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] - Amplified Bible

When my King speaks, I keep silent. I stop fretting and depending on my wisdom. I become glad that no matter the twists and turns my life my take, in the end, JESUS WINS.

LOVE this post! So glad I found your blog. We are neighbors on Beholding Glory this week. :)

I'm reminded of Ephesians 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Hang in there sister! Just like your picture (which I love) says... we already know who won! Further, we are More Than Conquerors!! (Romans 8)

New follower (Facebook & GFC) Have a wonderful weekend!

If you ever figure out how to erase the rough days let me know. It's a blessing that we can turn to God and His word to help us through them.
