Praise the Lord, Folks !
I am so excited about the Word of God today because His Word is true, it is real and it is so powerful ! I pray that the Holy Spirit will bring the same joy I derive from the Word into your heart right now in Jesus' Name.
Psalm 91:1 declares : "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
This week, by the grace of God, I hope to share with you some awesome truths God is teaching me through Psalm 91. I pray it will be an exciting journey for all of us.
What does it mean to dwell in a place ? The word "dwell" has a sense of permanence about it and indeed the Hebrew word that is translated in the English word "dwell" here refers to the act of remaining, settling or becoming established. So Psalm 91:1 in essence refers to the person (man or woman) who will choose to remain, settle or become established in God.
You can hide in a secret place. A secret place provides protection and the shadow of the Almighty God refers to His protection. Thus when a person chooses to remain constant or to settle under the secret hiding place of God, he or she can rest assured that God's protection will never cease to be upon him or her. This is phenomenal !
There is no need to be afraid when you are in the secret place. There is no place for insecurity in the secret place. There is no need for anxiety in the secret place. Will these things attempt to attack you ? Of course! The enemy of our souls has only one mission : to undermine God. But for those who will remain steadfast, settled and permanently established in the secret place of the Most High, there is no need to panic.
How do we get into the secret place ? Prayer and the Word. Sometimes it almost seems cliche but this is the simple truth. God's desire for each one of us is to be close to Him. There is really no other way to do this than to become established in studying His Love Letter to us and spending time talking to Him and getting to know Him.
In my own life, I can remember instances where I have been so uncertain about the future. In my experience calling up friends to discuss the issue sometimes only brings more uncertainty ! However, when I have gone on my knees and sought the Lord, I have seen Him bring a clarity of purpose and direction to me that I would not have had if I had simply kept on fretting.
Beloved, there is a secret place in God where true safety and protection dwells. He does not want us to keep living in fear, anxiety and uncertainty and so He is inviting us to come and hide in His secret place. Will you come and settle there ?

Psalm 91 is one of my favourites. Love what you have shared... simple truth but ever so effective when observed.
