"She's better than me"- How to deal with jealousy

About two years ago, I went to a friend's wedding. 

The wedding was beautiful, classy and fun all-rolled up in one neat package. 

There was only one problem. I'm sad to admit but I was jealous of this friend's beautiful wedding ! It had all the things my wedding didn't have and I just did not know how to deal with that. I was completely shocked at myself and chided myself for being so shallow and materialistic.

I am going to be as kind as possible in this blog post and share something with you that has caused the breakdown of personal relationships and even wars. 

I am talking about that thing some of us do when there appears to be a problem and we begin to think for other people.

Seeking the Presence of God

I've experienced God's presence during my some of my prayer times in the past and it was glorious ! There is nothing like it and once you're there, you may not want to come back. It makes me think of heaven and how much beauty, peace and majesty we'll experience when we get there !

When we're are hurt...in Church

If you have the most perfect church where nothing ever goes down and everyone smiles and there are no problems, this post is not for you. But I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that the fact that you are reading this indicates that this has happened to you or someone you know.

I saw a Christmas tree last Friday. It was elaborately decorated with some of the best ornaments I've ever seen. I was totally impressed with the Christmas tree. Whoever decorated it really put their heart into it. As I sat admiring the tree, I sensed the Lord speaking to me about something that's been going on in my life for some time now.

"I cannot pray for them because I don't like them."

"Their values don't align with mine and so I cannot pray for them"

And all I say to that is that these people have obviously not read their B-I-B-L-E.

Praying Like Apostle Paul

My father in the Lord got me praying the prayers of Paul beginning about 3 years ago and I have been completely blessed. In this series I am doing on prayer, I believe it is absolutely important to learn from the saints who have gone before us.
